Finance Ministry Set to Issue 15 Billion Yuan in RMB Sovereign Bonds in Hong Kong This August

The Ministry of Finance has announced plans to issue a new tranche of yuan-denominated sovereign bonds in Hong Kong in early August.
According to a statement released on July 29, the ministry will issue the fourth series of 2026 RMB sovereign bonds on August 5 in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The total issuance size is set at 15 billion yuan.
Detailed arrangements for the bond sale will be published through the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
