Genius Sports (NYSE: GENI), a sports data and technology firm, announced on Tuesday that it will release its second-quarter financial results for fiscal 2026 before the US market opens on August 6. The company will host a conference call at 8:00 AM Eastern Time on the same day to discuss the results.
According to the guidance previously issued by the company, second-quarter revenue is expected to be around $185 million, with adjusted EBITDA of approximately $45 million. This guidance reflects the business combination impact following the completion of the Legend acquisition on May 1.
In the first-quarter results released earlier, revenue grew 31% year-over-year to $188 million, beating market expectations by about 10%. Adjusted EBITDA increased 21% to $24 million. Specifically, revenue from its betting technology segment rose 33% to $146 million, while media technology revenue grew 22% to $41.7 million. However, due to transaction costs related to the Legend acquisition, foreign exchange fluctuations, and share-based compensation, the net loss for the quarter widened to $55.5 million.
Following the completion of the Legend acquisition, the company has raised its full-year 2026 guidance. It now expects annual revenue between $990 million and $1.01 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $270 million to $280 million, and an adjusted EBITDA margin target of around 28%, up from the previous 23%.
