China's Urban Fixed Asset Investment Drops 6.7% in First Seven Months, Missing Projections

During the January to July period, China's nationwide fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) reached 26,032.8 billion yuan, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics released on August 17.

This figure represents a 6.7% year-on-year decline, falling short of the anticipated 6% decrease and accelerating from the 5.70% contraction recorded in the first six months of the year.

Within this total, investment in intellectual property products saw a 9.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
