Banyan Tree Holdings Limited reported a 51 percent year-on-year increase in profit after tax and minority interests (PATMI) to S$13.6 million for the six months ended Jun 30 2026, as buoyant demand for its branded residences lifted group revenue by 14 percent to S$235.2 million.

Core operating profit rose 38 percent to S$54.2 million, while operating profit (EBITDA) climbed 30 percent to S$56.2 million. The company did not declare an interim dividend.

Residences remained the main earnings engine. Sales in the segment surged 38 percent YoY to S$172.6 million, underpinning stronger revenue recognition and a “healthy pipeline of unrecognised revenue,” the group said. Total revenue of S$235.2 million compared with S$206.1 million a year earlier. No detailed pre-tax breakdown by segment was provided, but management pointed to resilient hotel operations alongside the robust property performance.

No major underperforming businesses were highlighted for the period. The group noted that hotel trading stayed “resilient” despite macroeconomic headwinds.

During the half, Banyan Group added seven hotel management agreements—including a maiden entry into Switzerland—and one royalty agreement in the United States. Operational milestones included the full-season launch of Mamula Island by Banyan Tree in Montenegro, marking the brand’s European debut, and the announcement of Banyan Tree Residences West Palm Beach, its first residential project in the U.S. The company now operates 100 hotels and resorts, 140 spas and galleries, and more than 20 branded residences across over 20 countries. It plans to roll out up to US$1 billion worth of new luxury residential projects in Phuket over the next two to three years.

President and chief executive officer Eddy See said the first-half results reflected the benefits of the group’s diversified portfolio, asset-light approach and brand strength. He noted that management will “pursue value-driven growth with discipline,” focusing on selective expansion, operational consistency and financial prudence while safeguarding brand integrity. Upcoming openings include the Ubuyu safari retreat in Tanzania, Banyan Tree Mount Emei and Banyan Tree Guangzhou Jiulong Lake in China, as well as several Homm and Garrya properties in Indonesia and Vietnam.

Looking ahead, Banyan Group expects momentum in its residences business and pipeline of hotel openings to support earnings, while the company continues to position itself as a leading advocate of sustainable and regenerative tourism.
