SENSETIME-W (00020) opened more than 7% higher, trading up 7.12% at HKD 1.505 as of press time, with a turnover of HKD 22.67 million.

On the news front, SenseTime announced that it expects to record a net profit of approximately 500 million to 700 million yuan for the first half of 2026, turning around from a loss in the same period last year. This would mark the first time the company has achieved a consolidated profit since its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Explaining the performance improvement, SenseTime attributed it primarily to a reduction in losses from its core business segments in the first half of 2026 compared to the first half of 2025, as well as gains from the fair value changes of investments in the AI ecosystem that the company has strategically built over the years.
