On October 8, KUAISHOU-W fell 3.3% in regular trading, trading at HK$28.74/share, with Turnover of HK$705 million. The decline comes as market enthusiasm over the reported Hong Kong IPO of its Kling AI unit begins to fade following a short-term rally. The interactive media and services sector was broadly weaker, with Tencent down 1.33%, Baidu down 2.71%, Bilibili down 1.36%, Meitu down 2.02%, and Newborntown down 1.36%.
Earlier reports indicated Kling AI had selected CICC, Goldman Sachs, and UBS to arrange a Hong Kong listing aiming to raise at least $1 billion as early as 2027. The news had initially lifted KUAISHOU-W shares, but profit-taking and concerns over potential parent-company discount after a spin-off have since pressured the stock. Kling AI's revenue exceeded RMB 850 million in Q2 2026, up over 200% year over year, while KUAISHOU-W's total revenue rose just 1.4% to RMB 35.54 billion, highlighting the subsidiary's outsized growth contribution.
KUAISHOU-W operates a content community and social platform in China, providing live streaming, online marketing, e-commerce, and other value-added services, while actively expanding AI innovation businesses.
