Prudential cancels 0.61 million shares and spends about 12.6 million Singapore dollars on fresh buy-backs

Prudential plc announced on May, 28 2026 that it cancelled 613,901 ordinary shares on May, 27 2026, covering shares repurchased on May, 21 2026 and May, 22 2026.

The cancellation trimmed the insurer’s outstanding share count from 2,522,155,232 to 2,521,541,331.

On May, 27 2026 the company also repurchased 656,870 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices between GBP 11.095 and GBP 11.27 per share, spending an aggregate GBP 7.35 million (about 12.6 million Singapore dollars). These shares are intended for cancellation and remain outstanding until the process is completed.

Including this latest tranche, Prudential has bought back 91,684,232 shares under the mandate approved on May, 14 2025, equivalent to about 3.52 % of its issued share capital at that time. The repurchase programme bars the company from issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares until Jun, 26 2026.
