CTIHK (06055) has released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reporting revenue of HK$7.54 billion, a decrease of 26.9% year-on-year. The company's profit attributable to shareholders amounted to HK$627 million, reflecting a decline of 11.2% from the corresponding period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at HK$0.91, while the board has proposed an interim dividend of HK$0.19 per share.

During the six-month reporting period, the group's import volume of tobacco leaf products reached 69,429 tonnes, representing a decrease of 28,452 tonnes or 29.1% compared to the same period last year. Revenue from this segment totaled HK$4.999 billion, down HK$3.4 billion or 40.5%, with gross profit of HK$544 million, reflecting a reduction of HK$143 million or 20.8%. The decline in performance was primarily attributed to factors such as international trade relations and shipment scheduling, which led to a decrease in the volume of tobacco leaves imported from regions including the United States during this period.

For the same six-month period ended June 30, 2026, the group's export volume of tobacco leaf products grew to 42,563 tonnes, an increase of 4,087 tonnes or 10.6% year-on-year. Revenue from this segment rose to HK$1.765 billion, up HK$609 million or 52.7%, with gross profit climbing to HK$101 million, an increase of HK$38.2 million or 60.6%. This growth was driven by two key factors: first, the proactive expansion of new supply channels and the continued advancement of business development in non-exclusive operating regions, which contributed to higher export volumes; and second, the effective alignment of supply and demand, coupled with enhanced value-added service capabilities, which strengthened the profitability of the tobacco leaf export business.
