Standard Chartered Plans $1 Billion Fixed-Rate Reset Perpetual Contingent Convertible Securities Issuance

Standard Chartered PLC (02888) has announced its intention to issue $1 billion in fixed-rate reset perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities. The issuance date is set for June 8, 2026. The securities are identified under two ISINs: US853254DJ68 for the restricted global certificates and USG84228HJ04 for the unrestricted global certificates. The company will apply for the securities to be admitted to trading on the International Securities Market of the London Stock Exchange. An application will also be made to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited for the listing of, and permission to deal in, any ordinary shares issued upon conversion of the securities. Each security will have a denomination of $200,000, with additional amounts in integral multiples of $1,000. The terms and conditions of the securities, as detailed in a prospectus dated May 29, 2026, will govern the offering.
