CHINA CHUNLAI (01969) has released its interim results for the six months ended February 28, 2026. The group achieved revenue of RMB956 million, representing a 7.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The adjusted net profit was RMB432 million, up 7.3% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share were 36 fen.
The schools operated by the group are firmly focused on cultivating applied talents. They emphasize and actively promote the integration of industry and education, strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, and explore a "diversified talent training and innovative practical education system," which has formed unique characteristics and highlights. The cooperative models include internships and training, joint transformation of research and development achievements, joint training through order-based classes, and co-construction of majors and laboratories. These models have yielded positive results.
To continuously increase the total number of enrolled students, the group plans to acquire more land use rights and construct new educational and living facilities. If implemented, the funding is intended to come from operational cash flow and external borrowing. The group believes that increasing campus capacity according to the expansion plan is crucial for aligning with its future development strategy of enlarging student enrollment. Since the institutions typically require students to reside on campus, the total enrollment is largely dependent on the capacity of student dormitories.
Considering the gender-specific differences in dormitory arrangements and the student gender structure, the current capacity is insufficient to support a significant increase in enrollment. A gradual increase in campus capacity is anticipated to achieve a reasonable balance between student numbers and campus utilization. The projected increase is considered appropriate and will support the sustainable development of the institutions.
The group is confident that, given its strong track record in providing high-quality private higher education and its reputation within the industry, China's education authorities will approve its application to raise enrollment quotas. This approval is contingent upon demonstrating sufficient school capacity, appropriate facilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality educational programs, all of which are vital for the group's future expansion plans.
