USA Today's stock plummeted 5.22% during intraday trading on Thursday.

The sharp decline followed the company's release of its first-quarter financial results, which showed revenue fell 4% year-over-year to $548.485 million, slightly missing the analyst consensus estimate of $551 million. While the company reported a swing to net income of $19.9 million and a significant beat on adjusted earnings per share, investor focus appeared to be on the disappointing top-line performance.

USA Today reiterated its full-year 2026 business outlook, expecting total revenues to be flat to down low single digits on a same-store basis. The company noted continued growth in digital revenue, which increased 5.2% same-store and now represents 47.8% of total revenue.
