The flavorings company reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.80, exceeding the consensus estimate of $0.69 per share from analysts surveyed by Refinitiv. The company's revenue also topped market forecasts, reaching $1.94 billion against a general analyst expectation of $1.91 billion. The performance growth was primarily fueled by robust demand for spices driven by at-home consumption, alongside the company's impending completion of its merger integration with Unilever.
Shares of McCormick (NYSE: MKC) surged 3% on Thursday, although the stock remains down 28% year-to-date.
