Mapletree Industrial Trust (ME8U) announced on Jun, 26 2026 that the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore has ruled its 300 million Singapore dollars 3.25% fixed-rate Series 006 perpetual securities qualify as debt securities under Section 43H(4) of the Income Tax Act 1947.

The ruling confirms that distributions payable on the notes, including optional distributions, will be treated as interest on indebtedness, enabling the securities to be recognised as qualifying debt securities.

Consequently, investors are expected to enjoy the tax concessions and exemptions available under Singapore’s qualifying debt securities scheme, provided they meet the conditions outlined in the offering circular dated Jan, 15 2025.
