Lenovo Group's stock soared 7.22% during intraday trading on Thursday, driven by significant positive developments in its artificial intelligence business and a wave of analyst optimism.
The surge follows the company's unveiling of its latest Wentian Super Node technology at the WAIC 2026 conference. The new technology, capable of carrying 40 GPUs per node, is designed to significantly enhance large model training and inference efficiency, covering scenarios from hundreds to tens of thousands of cards. This strengthens the company's position in the AI infrastructure market.
Furthermore, the rally was fueled by collective action from investment banks, including Morgan Stanley and CICC, which raised their target prices for Lenovo Group to around HKD 30 and upgraded their ratings to Overweight. Analysts cited strong growth prospects for the company's AI infrastructure business. Adding to the positive sentiment, Lenovo captured over 60% share in China's first batch of L3-level AI terminal certifications with 42 products, reinforcing confidence in its full-stack AI strategy and management's ambitious target to lift revenue above USD 100 billion within two years.
