The Generation Essentials Group (TGE), a subsidiary of AMTD Digital Inc. (HKD), said it has completed a cash repayment of loans totalling HKD 89.5 million, equivalent to roughly 15.4 million Singapore dollars.

The transaction lowers the gearing of TGE’s hotel portfolio and is part of a wider strategy by parent entities AMTD Group Inc. and AMTD IDEA Group (AMTD) to optimise balance sheets, reduce leverage and enhance overall asset quality.

TGE focuses on media, entertainment, cultural projects, and a global portfolio of premium hospitality assets. AMTD Group’s broader operations span media and entertainment, education and training, and hospitality, while AMTD IDEA provides one-stop business services and digital solutions.

No financial terms beyond the loan repayment amount were disclosed.
