Kingboard Holdings Ltd (00148) saw its share price surge more than 9% during Thursday's trading session, reflecting strong investor sentiment following the release of its interim financial results. As of the latest update, the stock was trading up 7.28% at HK$48.88, with turnover reaching HK$768 million.

The company announced on August 24 that it recorded revenue of HK$29.13 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, representing a 35% increase year-on-year. Profit attributable to shareholders rose 5% to HK$2.71 billion, with basic earnings per share at HK$2.445. The board has declared an interim dividend of HK$0.73 per share.

During the review period, rapid development in high-end sectors such as artificial intelligence drove robust demand for emerging electronic products centered on AI concepts. This momentum enabled the company to implement multiple price increases for copper clad laminates and their upstream materials, including electronic glass fiber yarn, electronic glass fiber cloth, and copper foil, with the pace of price hikes accelerating in the second quarter.

While some competitors in the copper clad laminate market faced partial production halts due to shortages of electronic glass fiber cloth, Kingboard Holdings leveraged its fully integrated vertical supply chain to achieve growth in copper clad laminate sales volumes compared to the same period in 2025. Consequently, segment profits rose substantially year-on-year.
