Prudential plc repurchases and cancels shares worth about 5.4 million Singapore dollars

Prudential plc reported that it cancelled 273,293 ordinary shares on Jul, 31 2026, reducing its outstanding share count to 2,504,166,257.

The insurer also disclosed that it bought back 268,144 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange on Jul, 31 2026 at prices ranging between about 20.05 and 20.42 Singapore dollars per share (converted from GBP), for a total consideration of roughly 5.43 million Singapore dollars. These shares are scheduled to be cancelled.

Including a further 270,718 shares repurchased on Jul, 30 2026 that are awaiting cancellation, Prudential’s total pending cancellations stood at 538,862 shares as of Jul, 31 2026.

Under the authority granted by shareholders on May, 14 2025, the company is permitted to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares; it has so far bought back about 108.55 million shares, representing 4.17% of the shares outstanding at the time the mandate was approved.

Following the latest transactions, Prudential is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling any treasury shares until Aug, 30 2026.
