Vicor Corporation's stock soared 17.16% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the company's announcement of a significant upward revision to its second-quarter revenue guidance.

The company raised its Q2 2026 revenue outlook to $142 million from a previous forecast of $126 million, which substantially exceeds the FactSet consensus estimate of $125.5 million. The guidance increase is driven by rising product revenues and additional royalties from a new licensee to Vicor's patented power system technology portfolio.

The new license includes all of Vicor's patents covering power converter topologies, control systems, power components, and distribution architectures. CEO Patrizio Vinciarelli cited import exclusion orders related to patent infringement as a driver of demand for the company's all-inclusive licensing model, which enables original equipment manufacturers to access Vicor's power system innovations.
