These comprise 2.15 million shares bought on the London market and 3.23 million shares acquired on the Hong Kong market between 6 and 17 August 2026, representing a combined 0.03 % of the current share base.
\n\nRepurchase activity on 17 August 2026 totalled 1.19 million shares across multiple venues: • United Kingdom venues: 850,000 shares at prices between GBP 15.306 and GBP 15.430, for a total consideration of GBP 13.06 million. • Hong Kong Stock Exchange: 335,200 shares at prices between HKD 161.8 and HKD 163.8, for a total consideration of HKD 54.74 million.
\n\nSince receiving shareholder authority on 8 May 2026 to buy back up to 1.72 billion shares, HSBC has repurchased 9.74 million shares, equating to 0.06 % of the shares outstanding at the date of the mandate. The moratorium on issuing new shares or transferring treasury shares arising from these buybacks extends through 16 September 2026, subject to the consents granted by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
