HK Stocks in Focus: Henderson Land Jumps Over 3% After Results, Mid-Year Profit Reaches HK$4.09 Billion with a 40.65% Increase

Henderson Land Development Co Ltd (HKG: 0012) surged more than 3% in early trading following the release of its interim results. As of the time of writing, the stock advanced 3.62% to HK$29.2, with turnover reaching HK$6.54 million.

On August 20, the group announced its 2026 interim results, reporting revenue of HK$17.203 billion, an 80.1% year-on-year increase. Profit attributable to shareholders reached HK$4.09 billion, up 40.65% compared to the same period last year, with basic earnings per share of HK$0.84. The board has declared an interim dividend of HK$0.5 per share.

According to the announcement, the group's attributable turnover from Hong Kong property development surged 212% to approximately HK$11.878 billion. Including a pre-tax gain of about HK$1.568 billion (2025: HK$240 million) from the government's resumption of certain New Territories land, the attributable pre-tax published profit from local property development reached approximately HK$3.3 billion (2025: HK$310 million).

As of the end of June 2026, total unrecognized contracted sales stood at approximately HK$17.061 billion, of which around HK$6.365 billion is expected to be recognized in the second half of 2026 as properties are completed and delivered to buyers.
