Jiangsu Expressway Company Limited announced that existing Independent Non-Executive Director Ge Yang has been promoted to Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, effective 27 March 2026.

The Board underscored that the lead position, introduced under the revised Hong Kong Corporate Governance Code effective 1 July 2025, is intended to strengthen communication among independent directors, between independent and other board members, and with shareholders—particularly minority investors.

Ge Yang will retain his current roles as convener of the Remuneration and Assessment Committee and member of the Nomination Committee. The company clarified that the lead role carries the same fiduciary responsibilities as other independent non-executive directors and does not involve any executive or managerial duties within the Group.

Executive Director Wang Feng signed the announcement dated 30 March 2026 from Nanjing, PRC.
