PETROCHINA (00857) announced its full-year 2025 financial results. The company reported operating revenue of 2,864.469 billion yuan, representing a decrease of 2.5% compared to the previous year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was 157.318 billion yuan, down 4.5% year-on-year. Basic earnings per share were 0.86 yuan, and the board recommended a final dividend of 0.25 yuan per share.
The decline in the group's operating revenue for 2025 was primarily due to the combined effects of lower prices for oil and gas products, such as crude oil and refined oil products, along with changes in sales volume.
In 2025, the Oil, Gas, and New Energy segment generated operating revenue of 824.808 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.0% from 906.813 billion yuan in the same period last year. This was mainly attributable to lower crude oil prices and an increase in natural gas sales volume.
The Refining, Chemicals, and New Materials segment reported operating revenue of 1,078.047 billion yuan, down 9.6% from 1,192.589 billion yuan a year earlier, primarily due to reduced output of refined oil products and lower prices.
