WeRide-W Repurchases 1.52 Million Shares for HK$29.90 Million, Lifts Treasury Stock to 32.13 Million

WeRide Inc. (WeRide-W, 00800) reported a share buyback executed on 28 May 2026 under its existing repurchase mandate. The company acquired 1.52 million WVR Class A ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HK$18.99 and HK$19.99 per share, translating into a volume-weighted average purchase price of HK$19.687 and a total consideration of HK$29.90 million.

The repurchased shares represent 0.1613% of WeRide-W’s 941.90 million issued shares (excluding treasury shares) outstanding prior to the transaction. All 1.52 million shares have been retained as treasury stock; no cancellations were recorded.

Post-transaction, the company’s share capital structure is as follows: • Issued shares (excluding treasury shares): 940.38 million • Treasury shares: 32.13 million • Total issued shares: 972.51 million (unchanged)

The repurchase forms part of the mandate approved by shareholders on 13 March 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 102.73 million shares. Cumulative buybacks since that date now stand at 32.13 million shares, equivalent to 3.13% of the share count when the mandate was granted. In accordance with listing rules, WeRide-W is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or transferring treasury shares until 27 June 2026.
