Infund Holding Co.,Ltd. (ASX: 002141) has announced plans to establish a joint venture company, marking a strategic move into the printed circuit board (PCB) business.
According to a company announcement, its wholly-owned subsidiary, Infund Electronic Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., intends to sign a joint venture agreement with Guangdong Yingshuo Electronic Co., Ltd. The two parties will jointly invest to establish Infund Yingshuo Technology Co., Ltd.
The new joint venture will have a registered capital of 118 million yuan. Infund's Dongguan subsidiary will contribute 60.18 million yuan in cash, representing a 51% equity stake in the venture.
Strategic Rationale for the Investment
The company stated that this investment is a strategic decision based on its long-term development plans, business expansion, and industrial layout optimization. By extending its existing copper-clad laminate business downstream into the PCB sector, the company aims to create an integrated "base material - finished product" production layout.
This vertical integration is expected to enhance business synergy, increase the added value of its current products, and strengthen its overall market competitiveness.
Partner Profile and Synergies
The joint venture partner, Guangdong Yingshuo Electronic Co., Ltd., has deep experience in the PCB industry segment. It possesses a mature production management team, relevant technical expertise, and a relatively stable customer base.
The collaboration is designed to leverage the complementary strengths and accumulated resources of both parties in the PCB industry. This approach is anticipated to generate benefits and production capacity rapidly while mitigating initial investment risks, thereby cultivating a new source of profit growth for the company.
