The People's Bank of China has scheduled the issuance of a set of gold and silver commemorative coins themed on the Beijing Central Axis for July 27, 2026. The set comprises a total of 6 coins, including 1 gold coin and 5 silver coins, all of which are legal tender of the People's Republic of China.

Obverse Design

The obverse side of all coins in this set features the national emblem of the People's Republic of China, along with the country name and the year of issue.

Reverse Designs

The reverse of the 150-gram rectangular gold coin depicts a general view of the Beijing Central Axis area, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

The reverse of one 30-gram rectangular silver coin showcases a combined design of the Bell and Drum Towers, the Wanning Bridge, and related elements, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

The reverse of another 30-gram rectangular silver coin features a combined design of typical structures from Jingshan Park, the Forbidden City, the Imperial Ancestral Temple, and the Altar of Land and Grain, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

The reverse of another 30-gram rectangular silver coin presents a combined design of Tiananmen Gate, the Outer Golden Water Bridge, and the Duannmen Gate, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

The reverse of another 30-gram rectangular silver coin displays a combined design of Tiananmen Square, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, the National Museum of China, the Great Hall of the People, and related elements, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

The reverse of the final 30-gram rectangular silver coin illustrates a combined design of typical buildings including the Zhengyangmen Gate, the Temple of Heaven, the Altar of Agriculture, and the Yongdingmen Gate, inscribed with the words "Beijing Central Axis" and its face value.

Coin Specifications and Issuance Limits

The 150-gram rectangular gold coin is a proof coin, containing 150 grams of pure gold. It measures 80mm by 50mm, has a face value of 2,000 yuan, a purity of 99.9%, and a maximum mintage of 500 pieces.

The 30-gram rectangular silver coin is a proof coin, containing 30 grams of pure silver. It measures 42mm by 27.5mm, has a face value of 10 yuan, a purity of 99.9%, and a maximum mintage of 50,000 pieces (5 x 10,000).

This set of gold and silver commemorative coins is minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint Co., Ltd. and is exclusively distributed by China Gold Coin Group Corporation Ltd.
