Metasurface Technologies Holdings Limited has confirmed that, effective 31 March 2026, founder and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Chua Chwee Lee will relinquish the role of Chairman. Independent non-executive director Tan Chek Kian will assume the chairmanship on the same date, while Chua continues as CEO and executive director.
Tan, 54, joined the board on 7 June 2024. His new three-year appointment agreement provides an annual director’s fee of S$40,000 and is subject to re-election in accordance with GEM Listing Rules.
The incoming Chairman brings more than 26 years of finance and audit experience. Since February 2020 he has served as independent director and committee chair at 1FSS Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of MOH Holdings supporting Singapore’s public healthcare system. From November 2005 to August 2022, Tan held senior roles at S&P Global Ratings Singapore, most recently as Vice President, Finance & Operations, Global Emerging Markets. Earlier positions include regional financial controller at Exel Singapore (now DHL Supply Chain Singapore) and auditor at KPMG. Tan holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore and is a chartered accountant of Singapore.
Separately, the company has appointed Chin Chee Hong as senior program manager, also effective 31 March 2026. Chin will oversee customer relations and coordinate finance, administrative and production teams, as well as manage general project matters.
The board states that no other information requires disclosure under GEM Listing Rules and extends its welcome to the newly appointed executives.
