According to the latest Enterprise SSD industry survey by TrendForce, global revenue of the top five Enterprise SSD manufacturers grew 51.7% quarter-on-quarter in the fourth quarter of 2025, surpassing $9.9 billion. This surge was driven by increased storage system requirements due to the widespread adoption of AI inference applications, large-scale upgrades of general servers by enterprises, and order transfers resulting from HDD supply shortages.
Among the major Enterprise SSD brands, Samsung maintained its leading position with Q4 2025 revenue nearing $3.66 billion, a 49.7% quarterly increase. Leveraging its vertical integration strengths, Samsung attracted customers concerned about Enterprise SSD supply stability amid potential DRAM shortages, thanks to its strong in-house DRAM and NAND Flash capabilities. The company's 176-layer QLC Enterprise SSD product line is now fully established, with significant volume growth expected in 2026.
SK Group, including SK hynix and Solidigm, ranked second with revenue reaching $3.26 billion, a more than 75% quarterly increase—the highest growth rate among peers. Its market share rose to 30.2%, supported by Solidigm's long-term focus on high-capacity QLC products, which yielded strong results in Q4 2025. The group has a clear product roadmap tailored to the shift from AI training to inference, using technological differentiation to strengthen its Enterprise SSD market position.
Micron strategically reduced its consumer product focus in Q4 2025 to prioritize the higher-margin Enterprise SSD market, achieving a 41.4% quarterly revenue increase to over $1.4 billion and maintaining its third-place ranking. To address key KV Cache demands in AI computing, Micron is developing SLC SSDs with high drive writes per day (DWPD), positioning them as crucial products for the AI storage market.
Kioxia reported Q4 2025 revenue of $1.16 billion, an 18.9% quarterly increase, slightly lower than competitors. However, the company is actively pursuing long-term strategies in AI storage, expanding its high-speed and high-endurance product lines to meet future KV Cache and training needs.
SanDisk recorded Q4 2025 revenue of $440 million, a significant 63.6% quarterly growth. Although starting from a smaller base, this growth is seen as indicative of its potential. SanDisk is expected to substantially increase its QLC shipment share in 2026, with enterprise revenue set to rise markedly.
TrendForce indicates that the Enterprise SSD market is poised for doubled revenue growth in 2026, driven by the mainstream adoption of PCIe 5.0 and a notable increase in bit shipments. Competition among suppliers will extend beyond layer-count advancements to include which company can first deliver stable PCIe 6.0 solutions and specialized products optimized for AI workloads.
