WeRide Repurchases 0.72 Million Shares on Nasdaq for USD 1.79 Million, Treasury Holding Climbs to 22.27 Million

WeRide Inc. (WERIDE-W) disclosed that it bought back 720,000 Class A weighted voting right (WVR) ordinary shares on 29 April 2026 via the Nasdaq Stock Market.

The repurchase, executed under the board-approved mandate of 13 March 2026, was carried out at prices ranging from USD 2.48 to USD 2.50 per share, translating to a volume-weighted average cost of USD 2.4917 per share and an aggregate consideration of USD 1.79 million.

The transaction represents 0.08 % of WeRide’s outstanding share capital (excluding treasury shares) as at 14 April 2026. Following the buyback, the company’s issued share count (excluding treasury shares) decreased to 950.24 million, while treasury shares rose to 22.27 million. Total issued shares remain unchanged at 972.51 million.

Cumulatively, WeRide has repurchased 22.27 million shares under the current mandate, utilising 2.17 % of the 102.73 million shares authorised for buyback. In line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 29 May 2026.
