Keymed Biosciences Announces Plan for RMB Share Issue and STAR Market Listing

Bulletin Express
Aug 19

Keymed Biosciences Inc. disclosed that its board of directors approved a preliminary proposal on 19 August 2026 to issue ordinary shares denominated in Renminbi and seek a listing on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Science and Technology Innovation Board (the “Sci-Tech Board”). The initiative aims to broaden the company’s capital‐market presence by adding an onshore listing to its existing Hong Kong platform.

According to the filing, the proposed RMB share issue is contingent on several factors, including market conditions, further board endorsement, shareholder approval at a general meeting and all requisite regulatory clearances. As of the announcement date, the company has not submitted any application to mainland regulators and has no additional related plans beyond this preliminary proposal.

Management emphasized that the transaction may or may not proceed, and advised investors to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares. Keymed Biosciences committed to releasing further updates in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules and other applicable regulations.

The board currently comprises nine directors: three executive directors (Dr. Bo Chen, Dr. Changyu Wang, Dr. Gang Xu); three non-executive directors (Mr. Qi Chen, Dr. Min Chuan Wang, Mr. Yilun Liu); and three independent non-executive directors (Prof. Xiao-Fan Wang, Prof. Yang Ke, Mr. Cheuk Kin Stephen Law).
