Zhongtai Futures announced that its board approved a change in accounting policies on 30 March 2026, adopting the Ministry of Finance’s “Implementation Q&A on Accounting Treatment of Standard Warehouse Receipt Transactions.” The new guidance requires enterprises that trade standard warehouse receipts mainly for short-term price gains to apply financial-instrument accounting instead of revenue recognition for physical delivery.

Effective 1 January 2025, the company has retrospectively restated comparative figures for 2024 and 2025. Key adjustments are as follows:

• FY 2025:   – Other operating income fell by RMB 168.84 million to RMB 12.23 million.   – Other business costs declined by RMB 174.52 million to RMB 8.88 million.   – Investment income decreased by RMB 5.60 million to RMB 120.41 million.   – Inventories of RMB 0.00 million were derecognised, with a corresponding RMB 4.83 million reclassification to other assets.   – Other liabilities increased by RMB 4.22 million to RMB 15.20 million; contract liabilities were eliminated.

• FY 2024:   – Other operating income shrank by RMB 1.21 billion to RMB 10.90 million.   – Other business costs dropped by RMB 1.20 billion to RMB 32.64 million.   – Investment income rose by RMB 6.55 million to RMB 38.99 million.   – Inventories of RMB 41.15 million were reclassified to other assets, lifting that line to RMB 130.45 million.   – Other liabilities increased by RMB 6.21 million to RMB 75.97 million; contract liabilities were eliminated.

Management stated that the policy shift has “no material impact” on total profit, net profit, cash flows or shareholder interests. The restatement aligns Zhongtai Futures’ financial statements with current regulatory requirements and enhances comparability across periods.

Shareholders and investors are advised to act prudently when trading the company’s securities.
