DBS Bank (China) Ltd. has officially announced the appointment of Yao Gang as the Head of its Global Financial Markets Division.
He will assume overall responsibility for the development and strategic planning of the bank's financial markets business in China.
His duties will encompass foreign exchange, interest rates, credit, commodities, funding, and derivatives markets, while also driving product innovation, market capability building, and the development of integrated financial solutions.
According to his disclosed profile, Yao Gang brings over two decades of experience in the financial markets sector.
Since joining DBS in 2006, he has held various management roles across corporate banking, cross-asset institutional business, and wealth management.
In 2024, he was transferred to the group's headquarters to oversee business development for China, where he helped build a product and service system covering regional markets to support the growing financial needs of Chinese enterprises and institutions expanding overseas, thereby deepening cooperation with various market participants.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of DBS China, Zheng Sizhen, commented on the appointment, stating, "We are currently witnessing a new pattern in global capital flows, and China's financial market is accelerating its high-level opening to the world.
