Prudential plc reduces share capital through latest buybacks

Prudential plc announced that it repurchased and cancelled 407,779 ordinary shares on Jun, 16 2026, bringing the company’s outstanding share count to 2,514,964,803.

In addition, the insurer bought back 394,289 shares on Jun, 15 2026 and 385,717 shares on Jun, 16 2026. These shares have been earmarked for cancellation once settlement is complete.

The transactions were executed under the share-repurchase mandate approved on May, 14 2025, which authorises the company to buy back up to 262,668,701 shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 97,988,432 shares, equivalent to 3.76216% of the issued share capital at the time the authority was granted.

Under listing rules, Prudential plc is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Jul, 16 2026.
