SKB BIO Shares Surge Over 5% on Positive Phase III Results for TROP2 ADC Developed with Merck

SKB BIO (06990) rose more than 5%. As of press time, the stock was up 3.3%, trading at HK$451.4 with a turnover of HK$166 million. Recently, according to an announcement from SKB BIO, Merck announced that the investigational TROP2-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT), co-developed with the company, met the primary endpoints of overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in the pivotal global Phase III TroFuse-005 trial for certain patients with advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer. TroFuse-005 is the first global Phase III trial for this patient population to demonstrate statistically significant improvements in both OS and PFS compared to chemotherapy. It is also the first and only ADC drug to achieve this breakthrough in this type of endometrial cancer.
