Shares of VF Corp (VFC) tumbled 5.48% in pre-market trading Wednesday following the release of its fiscal first-quarter 2027 results, which showed a larger-than-expected loss per share and a 5% decline in revenue.

The parent company of Vans and The North Face reported an adjusted loss of $0.27 per share, missing the consensus estimate of a $0.22 loss. Revenue fell 5% year-over-year to $1.67 billion, with the Vans brand seeing an 8% sales drop, while The North Face grew by 6%. The overall revenue decline, despite beating the estimate of $1.64 billion, and the earnings miss appeared to overshadow the company's raised full-year revenue outlook.

While VF Corp raised its full-year revenue guidance to growth of 2% or better, up from a prior forecast of +1% to +2%, and management expressed optimism about a significant improvement in Vans wholesale during the second half of the year, investors focused on the near-term bottom-line miss and the continued weakness in its largest brand.
