CHINAGOLDINTL (02099) has released its interim results for the year 2026, reporting sales revenue of approximately $914 million, a 57.52% increase year-on-year. Mine operating profit reached about $620 million, up 123.83% from the same period last year.
Profit attributable to owners of the company stood at approximately $507 million, representing a substantial 153.31% increase compared to the prior corresponding period. Earnings per share were 127.99 US cents. Total gold production fell 18% to 72,300 ounces, down from 88,200 ounces recorded in the same period of 2025.
Copper production totaled 78.6 million pounds (approximately 35,671 tonnes), a slight increase from 77 million pounds (approximately 34,924 tonnes) in the same period of 2025. Revenue from the Changshanhao mine was $224.5 million, an increase of $60.8 million compared to the first half of 2025.
The average realized gold price rose 52% to $4,703 per ounce for the first six months of 2026, up from $3,094 per ounce in the same period of 2025. Gold sales from Changshanhao were 47,724 ounces (gold production: 42,853 ounces), compared to 52,893 ounces (gold production: 45,829 ounces) in the prior year.
Revenue from the Jiama mine was approximately $690 million, an increase of $273 million year-on-year. The average realized copper price jumped 73% to $4.66 per pound for the first six months of 2026, compared to $2.70 per pound in the same period of 2025. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, total copper sales were 35,035 tonnes (77.2 million pounds), a 2% increase from 34,292 tonnes (75.6 million pounds) in the same period of 2025.
