According to the latest research from TrendForce, the first quarter of 2026, being the off-season for the OLED monitor industry and following the peak promotional period of Q4 2025 which had already exhausted brand momentum, saw a sequential quarterly decline of 11% in global shipments. However, from a year-over-year perspective, shipments for the quarter still surged by 78%. This significant growth is primarily attributed to the increasingly abundant supply of QD-OLED panels, which has enabled new entrants to the market to ramp up production volumes consistently, effectively filling market gaps.

Analyzing the market share rankings for OLED monitors in Q1 2026, ASUS maintained its top position with a 24% share, solidifying its leadership through a comprehensive OLED product portfolio. During the quarter's new product offensive, ASUS not only launched a 34-inch gaming monitor featuring an extreme 360Hz refresh rate but also continued its expansion into the mobile display segment with the introduction of a 16-inch portable OLED monitor, building a strong brand moat through a highly differentiated product matrix.

Samsung secured second place with a 16.4% market share. Benefiting from the group's rich internal QD-OLED panel resources and its long-term presence in the high-end monitor market, Samsung maintained robust shipment performance even during the off-season. Its exclusive specifications, such as the 27-inch QHD 180Hz model, continued to exhibit strong growth momentum.

The battle for third and fourth place was highly competitive. MSI ultimately clinched the third spot with a 12.2% share, narrowly edging out AOC/Philips, which held a 12.1% share. The competition between these two brands has intensified, with their product performances showing distinct differences. MSI benefited from stable shipments of its 31.5-inch models while simultaneously expanding into business and high-end gaming segments. The launch of its 27-inch UHD business model and 34-inch 360Hz ultra-high refresh rate gaming monitor in Q1, featuring comprehensive specification upgrades, helped secure its third-place standing.

AOC/Philips, by deeply cultivating its core 27-inch QHD market and aggressively pushing competitively priced entry-level models, successfully established a strong foothold in Q1. Its market share is now only a fraction behind MSI, positioning it as the most formidable challenger in the rankings race, poised to challenge for third place.

LGE ranked fifth with a 9.1% market share. It exclusively launched a 39-inch WUHD OLED 165Hz monitor in Q1, which is expected to contribute to shipments in the second quarter. LGE's competitive advantage lies in ultra-wide screen products, which already accounted for 40% of its Q1 shipments. With the momentum from new products, this proportion is anticipated to challenge 45% in Q2.
