Project Termination Marks Third Failure for Yunnan's 50MW Distributed Solar Initiative

On April 16, the third attempt to launch the first batch of distributed photovoltaic EPC projects for 2026 by Yunnan Tuohe Energy Technology (Yunnan) Co., Ltd. was declared unsuccessful. The termination was attributed to the contractor's inability to fulfill the construction agreement. The project, planned as a single contract section, involved installing crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules on leased industrial park rooftops. It was provisionally set for a total installed capacity of 50MW (DC side) and intended to operate under a self-consumption model with surplus electricity fed into the grid.

Separately, on April 13, a notice was issued declaring the invalidation of the design and construction EPC tender for the "agriculture-photovoltaic complementary" solar cooperation project in Kaili City, Guizhou Province. The cancellation was due to significant adjustments in the project's scale and implementation details, leading to the termination of the related bidding activities. Previous tender information indicated that the project, located in Kaili City within the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou, was developed by Nengtou Ledian New Energy (Kaili) Co., Ltd. It planned to install distributed photovoltaic systems across multiple sites, including a duck farm in Baiwu Subdistrict, Shihua Village in Bibo Town, a fertilizer plant in Baiwu Subdistrict, Gandongshi (Xiaogechong) in Sanshukeshu Town, a beef cattle breeding base in Baiwu Subdistrict, and Qinglong Village in Zhouxi Town. The total development capacity for the project was 203.77MW.
