According to the company's statement, Lumen's schedule includes the TD Cowen Communications Infrastructure Summit on August 11, the Citi 2026 Global TMT Conference on September 9, and the Goldman Sachs Communicopia + Technology Conference on September 10. The company describes itself as an "AI Trust Network," focusing on helping businesses securely and rapidly connect people, data, and applications through its physical infrastructure, programmable network, and interconnected ecosystem. Recently, Lumen completed the acquisition of cloud-native networking platform Alkira, a move intended to bolster its capabilities in delivering programmable network solutions for the AI era. Chief Executive Officer Kate Johnson stated that this acquisition represents a significant step in the company's transformation, aiding customers in building and scaling operational environments for the age of artificial intelligence.

Financial Performance Overview

Regarding financial results, Lumen's first-quarter earnings report released in early May showed an adjusted loss per share of $0.47, which missed market expectations. However, quarterly revenue of $2.9 billion exceeded forecasts. The company's strategic business revenue increased by 9.4% year-over-year to $1.246 billion, accounting for 51% of total enterprise revenue. Customer adoption of its Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) products grew by 25% sequentially. For the 2026 fiscal year, Lumen anticipates adjusted EBITDA to be in the range of $3.1 billion to $3.3 billion, with free cash flow projected between $1.9 billion and $2.1 billion.
