The public consultation for the draft of Tongling's "15th Five-Year Plan" for Copper Industry Development has recently been released. The proposal highlights a strategy to precisely align with the Hefei Metropolitan Area by actively integrating into Hefei's artificial intelligence computing infrastructure layout.

The plan aims to embed Tongling's computing metal products deeply into the Hefei AI industrial cluster. To achieve this, it will focus on matching Tongling's copper materials with the demands of Hefei's key sectors, including new energy vehicles, new displays, and smart home appliances, based on specific requirement lists and supply maps.

Furthermore, Tongling intends to actively connect with scientific and technological resources in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. This will establish a collaborative innovation model where research and development is conducted in the Yangtze River Delta region, while commercialization and transformation occur in Tongling. The city will also work to align its high-end products, such as electronic copper foil and high-strength, high-conductivity copper alloy strips, with the supply chain of the broader Yangtze River Delta industrial cluster.
