Argan's stock surged 9.04% in post-market trading following the release of its fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 financial results, which significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The power plant builder reported Q4 earnings per share of $3.47, beating the consensus estimate of $1.98 by approximately 77%. Quarterly revenue reached $262.05 million, surpassing estimates of $255.32 million and marking a 12.7% increase year-over-year. For the full fiscal year, the company's net income jumped 61.2% to $138 million while revenue rose 8.1% to $945 million.
The strong performance was attributed to improved gross profit margins, driven by strong project execution and a changing contract mix. Additionally, the company's project backlog more than doubled to $2.9 billion, providing strong visibility for future revenue growth.
