Concerns Over Fed Rate Hikes Ease, Nikkei Index Poised for Gains

Japanese equities are expected to trade higher, supported by diminishing worries about potential interest rate increases from the Federal Reserve and a rally in US technology stocks overnight. The Nikkei 225 futures contract on the Singapore Exchange climbed 1.2%, reaching 68,500 points.
In currency markets, the US dollar was quoted at 159.34 yen, compared to 159.40 yen at the close of Tokyo trading on Wednesday. Investors are now closely monitoring any developments related to the Iran conflict, as well as movements in crude oil prices.
The Nikkei index advanced 0.8% on Wednesday, settling at 67,524.06 points.
