Basic Semiconductor Forms Strategic Alliance with UBTECH Robotics

Basic Semiconductor (09971) has announced a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenzhen-based UBTECH Robotics (stock code: 9880), a company listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The partnership focuses on deep collaboration around the application of silicon carbide power devices in embodied intelligent humanoid robots. Leveraging Basic Semiconductor's core technological strengths in silicon carbide power devices and UBTECH's industrial capabilities in embodied intelligent humanoid robotics, the two parties will develop high-performance, high-reliability silicon carbide power device solutions for application scenarios including power management and motion control.

This collaboration aims to enhance the energy efficiency and operational precision of embodied intelligent humanoid robots while accelerating the large-scale adoption of silicon carbide power devices in the embodied intelligence sector. Additionally, both companies will jointly explore semiconductor smart manufacturing application scenarios, promoting the deep integration of semiconductor manufacturing with embodied intelligence.

The board believes this strategic partnership will enable the company to enter the rapidly growing embodied intelligent humanoid robot market, drive the application of silicon carbide power devices in emerging fields, and improve manufacturing efficiency while reducing production costs through the deployment of embodied intelligent humanoid robots in semiconductor production lines.
