Ford Motor shares surged 7.03% in intraday trading on Wednesday, driven by stronger-than-expected second-quarter results and an upward revision to its full-year profit outlook. The automaker posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.42, comfortably surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.35, while revenue of $48.3 billion also topped analyst expectations.

Ford raised its full-year adjusted EBIT guidance to a range of $10 billion to $11 billion, up from the prior range of $8.5 billion to $10.5 billion, marking the second time this year the company has lifted its outlook. The improved forecast reflects resilient demand for high-margin pickup trucks and SUVs, as well as an expectation for U.S. auto prices to rise approximately 0.5% in 2026. CEO Jim Farley also confirmed that Ford expects to receive about $500 million in tariff refunds during the second half of the year, further boosting the company's free cash flow guidance.

Following the results, several Wall Street analysts raised their price targets on Ford, with Citigroup upgrading the stock to Buy from Neutral and lifting its target to $20. JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and RBC also increased their price targets, reflecting growing confidence in the automaker's turnaround strategy.
