Interface's stock surged 10.44% in pre-market trading on Friday, following the release of its robust first-quarter fiscal 2026 results and an upgraded full-year sales outlook.
The flooring maker reported a significant 81.6% year-over-year increase in net income to $23.6 million, with adjusted earnings per diluted share rising to $0.41 from $0.25 a year earlier. This result surpassed the analyst consensus estimate of $0.33. Net sales for the quarter climbed 11.3% to $331 million, also exceeding market expectations of $320.04 million.
Driven by this strong performance, particularly in its Corporate Office and Healthcare segments, Interface raised its full-year 2026 net sales guidance to a range of $1.45 billion to $1.48 billion, up from its previous outlook of $1.42 billion to $1.46 billion. The company's improved financial performance and optimistic forward guidance are the primary catalysts for the significant pre-market price increase.
