On August 6th, the Xiong'an New Area Smart City Science and Innovation Center was officially inaugurated.
Representatives from Hebei Province, Xiong'an New Area, and executives from China Mobile gathered at the event. This digital exhibition hall, jointly developed by China Mobile and the Xiong'an New Area Management Committee, is themed "Indescribably Wonderful, A Place to Yearn For." It features three main exhibition zones: Innovative City, Charming City, and Future Visions, offering an immersive experience of how digitalization empowers urban development. The center serves as a key new window to showcase the achievements of Xiong'an's smart city construction.
In the "Innovative City" zone, a narrative unfolds from the millennium-long plan to a digital and intelligent new city. The exhibition traces communication history from beacon fires and carrier pigeons to Morse code and Bell's telephone, and the evolution of mobile communications from 1G to 6G. It reflects on the original mission of using "half a radio" to build a modern communications network, demonstrating the leap from "hearing and seeing" to "the Internet of Everything."
The "Charming City" zone highlights China Mobile's comprehensive capabilities in communications, computing power, and intelligence. Leveraging the world's largest 5G premium network, China Mobile has built a "4+N+31+X" national integrated computing power network. It has developed the Jiutian large model and the MoMA engine to empower various industries. In Xiong'an, China Mobile, in collaboration with the Xiong'an branch, is deeply involved in the new area, implementing a full-stack layout and accelerating the deployment of tangible benchmark projects. In the field of artificial intelligence, the MoMA model service platform, a collaboration between China Mobile and the Xiong'an Group, aggregates a vast number of large models and has implemented the "Yiheng" large model evaluation system, using cutting-edge technology to empower Xiong'an's independent innovation industries. Xinsheng Technology has relocated to Xiong'an, co-building a RISC-V innovation city, with self-developed chips already applied in smart gas and smart home sectors. In the low-altitude economy, both parties have established a "1 center, 3 platforms, N scenarios" comprehensive service system, which has integrated 27 drones, logged over 2,300 flight hours, and provides 60 scenario services based on 44 AI algorithms. In the field of smart education, the smart education cloud platform covers more than 560 schools in Xiong'an New Area, managing everything from basic student information to comprehensive records of "moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor" education, and covering early warning systems for campus bullying and mental health monitoring to fully safeguard student growth.
In the "Future Visions" zone, the AI assistant "Lingxi" guides visitors through visions of future scenarios like space-air-smart travel, interstellar communication, and ocean cities. It can also generate personalized exhibition commemoratives through AI analysis reports, providing a technologically advanced conclusion to the tour. Digital power empowers the present, while technological innovation illuminates the future. This experience hall is not only a vivid microcosm of the achievements in building Digital Xiong'an but also signals the bright prospects for the integration of digital and physical realms and the surge of innovation in this "City of the Future."
Currently, China Mobile has deployed 3,080 5G base stations across Xiong'an, achieving 100% gigabit fiber optic coverage in key areas. Computing power and intelligent services precisely reach key areas such as relocated enterprises and business service centers. The smart city management platform now connects over one million sensing terminals, helping to establish a governance model of "viewing the entire region on one screen and managing the entire city through one network," reducing business processing times by over 60%. The "Xiong Xiao Zhi" government intelligent customer service allows residents to handle affairs from "multiple visits" to "one-stop resolution," with digital dividends increasingly benefiting more people in the new area.
From a "blank slate" to "rapid growth," the "City of the Future" of Xiong'an is accelerating its formation. The inauguration of the Xiong'an New Area Smart City Science and Innovation Center marks a new phase in the service provided by China Mobile and its Xiong'an branch for the digital transformation of the new area. In the future, China Mobile will continue to improve its computing power infrastructure layout, deepen the integration of computing and networking, and promote the implementation of more technological achievements in Xiong'an, injecting powerful digital momentum into the high-standard, high-quality construction of the Xiong'an New Area.
