Visteon's stock surged 5.12% during intraday trading on Thursday, reversing earlier pre-market weakness following the release of its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
The U.S. auto cockpit electronics supplier reported Q1 sales of $954 million, significantly beating analyst expectations of $899.5 million. The company attributed the sales growth to the successful ramp-up of recent product launches and robust customer demand, despite lower industry vehicle production. Visteon also secured $1 billion in new business during the quarter, including SmartCore HPC wins in China and India, and launched 20 new products across 11 customers.
While net income fell to $31 million from $67 million a year earlier due to elevated supply chain costs, the company reaffirmed its full-year guidance and expects margin improvement supported by cost actions and customer recoveries. Wall Street maintains a positive outlook with a median 12-month price target of $115.00, representing significant upside potential from current levels.
