Jardine Cycle & Carriage (C07) announced on Apr, 23 2026 that it has published written responses to substantial and relevant questions submitted by shareholders ahead of its annual general meeting scheduled for Apr, 30 2026.
The group said Indonesia remains a core market, pointing to favourable demographics and Astra’s diversified portfolio as factors that support long-term resilience despite near-term economic and fiscal uncertainties. Management added that it continues to focus on disciplined risk management and maintains confidence in Indonesia’s prospects.
Addressing queries on recent regulatory actions in Indonesia’s plantation sector, the company noted that Astra Agro Lestari has met all required administrative obligations and does not expect the measures to have a material impact on its operations or performance.
JC&C also explained that recent disposals — including its exit from Siam City Cement in Aug, 2024 and the reduction of its shareholding in Vinamilk in Dec, 2025 and Feb, 2026 — were part of ongoing portfolio optimisation guided by a disciplined capital allocation framework.
The board will answer any additional questions raised after the Apr, 15 2026 submission deadline during the AGM.
