Shares of Beta Technologies Inc (BETA) plummeted 6.62% during Tuesday's intraday trading session following the release of the company's first-quarter financial results and updated full-year guidance.
The electric aerospace company reported a net loss of $122.3 million for Q1 FY26, significantly wider than the $78.3 million loss in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA loss also deepened to $97.2 million from $64.7 million year-over-year. While revenue of $10.1 million slightly exceeded both the company's own guidance range and Wall Street expectations, the substantial increase in losses appears to have weighed on investor sentiment.
Adding to concerns, Beta Technologies updated its full-year 2026 Adjusted EBITDA guidance to a loss of $355 million to $445 million, which is worse than its prior outlook for a loss of $305 million to $395 million. The company reaffirmed its revenue guidance of $39 million to $43 million. The widened loss guidance reflects accelerated business activity, including selection for seven of eight eVTOL Integration Pilot Programs, which requires increased investment in aircraft production and infrastructure.
