Prudential cancels 0.8 million shares under ongoing buyback programme

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled a total of 795,549 ordinary shares on Jun, 30 2026 and Jul, 01 2026, reducing its outstanding share capital to 2.511 billion shares.

The shares were repurchased at an average price close to 10 pounds each before cancellation, representing about 0.0317 per cent of the company’s issued share base prior to the transactions.

In addition, 398,569 shares bought back on Jun, 30 2026 for roughly 6.8 million Singapore dollars remain to be cancelled. These purchases were executed on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging between 9.924 and 10.135 pounds per share.

Under the buyback mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential is authorised to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares; 101.96 million shares, or 3.91 per cent of the issued share base at the mandate date, have been bought back to date.
