CH BIOTECH SER (08037) subsidiary, Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Hospital, has released its first batch of real-world clinical data from the initial ten head and neck cancer patients treated with Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). The results, presented as an oral report at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neutron Capture Therapy (JSNCT-22) held at Kyoto University from July 30 to August 1, show a 90-day follow-up after treatment.

Among the first ten evaluable patients, the complete response rate (CR) reached 40%, the partial response rate (PR) was 40%, and the objective response rate (ORR) totaled a striking 80%. All enrolled patients were in the late-line stage of head and neck cancer, meaning their tumors were unresectable or had relapsed after failing first-line, second-line chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or targeted therapy. These patients exhibited high drug resistance and significantly reduced physical function. In such a patient group, the ORR for conventional single-agent chemotherapy or targeted therapy typically ranges between 10% and 20%, making the 80% ORR a "breakthrough" performance.

Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Hospital is the first and currently only medical institution in China authorized to offer BNCT clinical applications. The hospital utilizes the NeuCure® neutron device and Steboronine® boron drug, the only BNCT drug-device combination globally approved for market release. This combination has been used in over 2,000 clinical research cases worldwide and has treated more than 1,000 patients since its overseas launch in 2020. Since the hospital began accepting patients on March 19, 2026, it has successfully treated and discharged nearly 50 patients. These cases include patients from 19 provinces in China as well as international patients from Russia, with 78% male, 76% aged 51 or older, and covering ages from 20 to over 70, demonstrating broad clinical applicability.

Notably, the data from Pengbo (Hainan) Hospital is consistent with previously reported overseas BNCT results for recurrent head and neck cancer patients, which showed a six-month ORR of 72.09%, and the current data shows even better performance. The hospital's approved core indications cover unresectable locally advanced or recurrent head and neck malignancies, including over ten subtypes such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma, sinus cancer, laryngeal cancer, oral cancer, tongue cancer, gingival cancer, and parotid gland cancer.

In terms of patient services, the hospital has partnered with banks to offer medical expense installment plans, collaborated with AXA Insurance to launch a Hainan Boron Neutron medical insurance product, and joined forces with CITIC-Prudential to introduce the "Good Boron Friend" medical insurance, creating a "insurance + medical care + reinsurance + global resources" collaborative innovation model. Additionally, the hospital has teamed up with BGI Group to launch a public welfare assistance program, offering 50 patient relief slots with a maximum treatment subsidy of 100,000 yuan per person. As BNCT's clinical research for indications progresses steadily worldwide, along with the formulation of relevant national guidelines, this precision anticancer technology, hailed as the "crown jewel of radiotherapy," is bringing new hope for treatment to patients with difficult-to-treat tumors in China and globally.
